You have the right to peaceful protest but not continuous occupation and oppression of a public space. If an officer asks you to get on the ground, place your hands behind your back, or cease and desist a certain activity, it is within the scope of his authority during his interaction with you. Read my lips. He has the authority to request certain simple actions. And if you cannot follow an instruction, you will be shown how to follow the instruction. This is called a learning curve.
